Well, I finally hit 60 on my hunter Inebrius. That's not really as huge of an achievement as it once was, but he's the first character I've gotten that far besides Baluki (who is of course 70).

I wouldn't have taken so long if not for the fact that I've lost interest in the class numerous times. And to be honest, hunters aren't very interesting when soloing, once the newness has worn off. All I do is send in my pet, Sting the target, and Arcane Shot when it's ready. Of course, all I do on Baluki when soloing is cast Lightning Bolt over and over, which is probably why I haven't played him in several days.

I've never grouped or PvPed on my hunter either, and those are the two places where you get to REALLY play your class. Then again, if I have time for those things, I'd much rather do them on Baluki. Indeed, there are some skills that I haven't even bothered to purchase yet, like Wing Clip or Frost Trap, because I have almost no reason to use them while soloing.

But I'm looking forward to levelling up my hunter in the future. Steady Shot and Kill Command look like they'll be fun to use, and add some much-needed interactivity to my questing. But once Patch 2.3 hits, I probably won't bother for a while, since I'll be too busy levelling up my Tankadin, Mage, and Priest.

Brewfest is definitely the best holiday in the game. Or it was, before much of it broke. But it will be again next year, when they (hopefully) fix everything.

The Dark Iron Invasions were really fun while they lasted. If you missed them, here's what happened: dozens of huge drilling machines would pop up in the middle of the Fest, and several Dark Iron dwarves would pop out. You'd wave to one of the barkers, and they'd throw you a drink. You would drink the drink, and auto-throw the empty mug at a dwarf, which would get you a ticket each time. The problem was that people didn't know how to activate this, and they just spammed /wave, which apparently caused lots of lag. So they had to disable that event, which happened hourly.

Fortunately, the ram-racing quests were still there. The two in the game were distinctly different from each other, and were completely unlike anything else in the game. They're a lot of fun, but I'm glad that mounts don't handle like that normally.

I've got my mount, and I'm going to work on getting a hat and maybe some of the other items if I have the time.

After diligently hoarding tickets for the past week or so, I've finally gotten enough to buy a Swift Brewfest Ram. It's really nice having a land mount that doesn't bob up and down so fast that it would normally snap the rider's neck.

The day before, after diligently working up my Netherwing reputation for a few weeks (I didn't do every quest every day) I got my Nether Dragon mount. I chose the green one, because the other ones all look alike (except the teal one, but I don't like teal).

So now I'm riding in style!

This is basically the closest I'll ever get to Illidan.

Once you reach Exalted with the Netherwing, you get a quest to meet Illidan himself. Well, an image of him, anyway. He of course sees right through your simple disguise and is about to zap you, but you're rescued by a nearby dragon-in-disguise (Yarzil the goblin, on the far left) who flies you AT RUNNING SPEED all the way across Shadowmoon, across Terokkar, into Shattrath. Takes about 15 minutes, and nothing happens during that time. Awesome quest, but the flight needs work.
